Kos located in the center of the Dodecanese and very close to the Turkish coast. It is the third largest island of the Dodecanese and second in population after Rhodes. Another famous monument is the Asklepieion of Kos, one of the greatest hospitals of antiquity. After all, the island is the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of medicine.

How to get there:

• By ship: The island is connected to the port of Piraeus and various other islands of the Aegean, such as Crete, Rhodes (approximately 3 hours), Thessaloniki, Syros (approximately 7-8 hours) etc. The journey runs from Piraeus lasts ten to fifteen hours. Kos is also connected by ship with the rest of the Dodecanese islands and some Cycladic islands. Moreover, the island is connected to Bodrum, Turkey by ferry or speedboat.
• By plane: Kos has has an airport and is connected to Athens, Thessaloniki and other places in Greece and abroad.
