Carnival customs - The Legend of Ghost, Amfissa

The "legend of the ghost" revives the last weekend of the carnival. From the Harmaina district, where the old Tambakika and the stairs of Agios Nikolas are located, the "ghost" comes down and together there are hundreds of disguised men. It is said that "ghosts" are the souls of dead people or animals that surround the area. The representation of the "Night of Ghosts" takes place every year since 1995 in the city of Ozoloi and the history of the custom refers to the Greek version of Romeos and Juliet.
